A five-day event from 6 to 10 September 2011, Scala is proud to announce the authentic Italian culinary promotion at Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong.

Originated from Piedmont, Italy, the well-known Michelin star guest chef Osvaldo Forlino is gearing up to prepare array of wholesome, hearty, authentic northern Italian dishes. There is always something to satisfy every palate. A five-course dinner menu priced at HK$600 with a 10% service charge covering classic Vitello Tonnato, Risotto with Asparagus creamed with butter and parmigiano, Tagliatelle with porcini mushroom sauceStew lamb shank with mash potato and vegetables caponata and the all-time favorite Tiramisu. What's more, each dish is pairing with a glass of Italian fine wine which is carefully chosen by the wine expert.

Inspired by the family, Chef Forlino started his culinary career at the family-owned restaurant "Forlino". Chef Forlino creates his personal way of cooking with a mix of the four regions in the northern Italy covering Piemonte - Liguria Lombardia - Emilia Romagna. Chef Forlino's career spans from working in Italy, America, England and Singapore. He was the Executive Chef at One Fullerton, Singapore and more recently decided to venture his own restaurant "No Menu", which is one of the must-go eateries in Singapore.

Regarded as Italy's new food capital, Piedmont is known for rich dishes featuring truffles and cream sauces, but it's also Italy's most culinary progressive region. The flavors of Piedmont reach peaks in autumn, when the harvest is in and wooded slopes from the Alps to the Apennines supply game, mushrooms and white truffles, whose magical aromas enhance pastas and risottos, meats and cheeses.
