Shanghai Hong Kong New World Tower hosting World Cup promotion event
(20 July 2006, Shanghai) Shanghai Hong Kong New World Tower, New World China Landa's landmark Grade A office development in Huaihai Road Central, joined with the local metroer.com to sponsor an one of a kind soccer tournament during the World Cup month in its open-air plaza between 30 June and 2 July.
The soccer tournament was held inside a 250s.m. playing field fully covered with a net in the circular sinking plaza at the basement one level of Hong Kong New World Tower. The 32 teams of players consist of three members each are mostly from the surrounding office area including the ABN AMRO Bank and New World Teams.
Hong Kong New World Tower also fully utilized its central shopping area location by broadcasting the semi final game with its large screen LCD on the night of 1 July, which attracted a large crowd of fans and soccer enthusiast.
Also being part of the World Cup promotion event series, Hong Kong New World Tower also invited the renowned actress come director Ms Tsui to attend a fans gathering event held on 2 July in the towera's shopping arcade, part of an ongoing roadshow of her new Chinese movie premier.
