NWS Holdings names Tsang Yam Pui as Chief Executive Officer

NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS Holdings” or the “Group”; Hong Kong stock code: 659) today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Mr Tsang Yam Pui as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) with effect from 1 July 2015. Mr Tsang has been an Executive Director of the Group since June 2004.

Since joining NWS Holdings in 2004, Mr Tsang has been playing a major role in the overall management of the Group including setting of strategic directions and consolidating and strengthening the Group’s business portfolio. NWS Holdings’ market capitalisation has grown about tenfold from approximately HK$4.5 billion in 2003 when listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to approximately HK$42 billion to date. Net assets increased from HK$9.9 billion in 2004 to HK$43 billion in 2014, representing a 10-year CAGR of 15.8%; net profit recorded a 10-year CAGR of 10.9% during the same period.

In his role as Executive Director, Mr Tsang is also the Chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Group. Under his leadership, NWS Holdings has made many milestones in corporate sustainability, most notably corporate governance, community charities and environmental performance. NWS Holdings received the prestigious Total Caring Award granted by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 2009, and it has been selected as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index since the Index’s inception in 2011.
