New World Group's Green Publication and Annual Report of New World China Land Garner Mercury Grand Awards

The Green Book of New World Development Company Limited ("The Group"; Stock Code: 17.HK) and the Annual Report 2012 of New World China Land Limited ("NWCL"; Stock Code: 917.HK) have further claimed the Mercury Grand Awards under the their respective main categories of "Promotion/Marketing" and "Annual Reports - Interior Design," following the success of being awarded the gold awards under these categories.  

The highest recognition under the International Mercury Awards, The Grand Awards are selected from the Gold Award winners of each category and are therefore the "Paragon of the Gold Awards." This year, over 680 entries from 20 countries were received. 

New World Group's The Green Book features a collection of interesting local and overseas eco articles and insights to promote innovative green living and to bring inspirations to readers, covering a wide spectrum of green topics such as food, construction, transport, design, eco-tourism and geo-conservation. Printed on Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper and with soy ink, copies were distributed to schoolsand green groups in Hong Kong. An iPhone App was launched for free downloading and an online version (www.nwd.com.hk/thegreenbook) is also available to help spread the green message further. The Green Book has also become available in Hong Kong Public Libraries for easy reach by the public, further raising public awareness of environmental protection.

The cover of the Annual Report 2012 of NWCL features the Chinese traditional paper-cutting designs in the patterns of "ancestral house," "writing brushes, ink sticks, paper and inkstones," "plum blossom and butterfly" and "Guzheng." These patterns signify NWCL's diversified property developments in the aspects of "home," "office," "culture and recreation" and "leisure.". The four divider pages in the business review section, which carry the messages "abundance", "endless joy," "moral business operation" and "comfortable living", echo the cover design with detailed and clear descriptions of its businesses in different region. The overall design of the annual report represents NWCL's respect for Chinese culture and the vision of building a high-quality community.

Established in 1987, the International Mercury Awards recognises outstanding corporate communications projects. All entries undergo three rounds of selection by a professional judging panel before any award is conferred. The judging panel comprises top public relations, marketing and advertising professionals from around the globe.
