New World Company Property Sales Soar in 2019 - Hong Kong Sales Amount to HK$10.5 Billion and Sales in Mainland China Reach Record High of RMB19.8 Billion

New World Development Company Limited announces that the Group has surpassed its property sales targets in Hong Kong and China with totals amounting to approximately HK$10.5 billion and RMB19.8 billion respectively for the year ending 30 June 2019.

The Group’s attributable contracted sales in Hong Kong amounted to approximately HK$10.5 billion, surpassing the sales target of HK$10 billion. The residential sales derived mainly from MOUNT PAVILIA, FLEUR PAVILIA, ARTISAN GARDEN, TIMBER HOUSE and ATRIUM HOUSE. Among these, ARTISAN GARDEN and TIMBER HOUSE, launched in the first half of 2019, have already sold out.

Overall contracted sales in Mainland China amounted to approximately RMB19.8 billion, outperforming the RMB16 billion sales target, with key projects in Guangzhou and Shenzhen in the Greater Bay Area accounting for more than half of the sales contribution.

The robust execution and sales strategies are the unique catalysts of this achievement. The MTR Tai Wai Station residential project, with more than 3,000 units, and the Shenzhen Prince Bay project, with a saleable area of approximately 110,000 square metres, will be launched in planned phases, further enhancing the Group’s competitiveness and the contribution to the Company.

Tai Wai Station Project is a large-scale residential development on the bank of the Shing Mun River, offering expansive views of Lion Rock and Tolo Harbour. Complemented by advanced living amenities and recreational facilities, the station is the interchange point of the existing East Rail and Ma On Shan lines. The project is positioned at a prime location which, upon completion of the Shatin to Central Link, will become a transport hub of the North-South Corridor, connecting Lo Wu and Admiralty with the East West Corridor that will link Wu Kai Sha and Tuen Mun.

The Shenzhen Prince Bay Project is adjacent to the brand-new cruise homeport in Shekou, Shenzhen. With naturally-enhanced sea-view resources and a prime geographical advantage, the project is an integral part of the drive to build an international city of happiness envisaged for Shenzhen. The project is a large-scale complex with diversified functions including commercial facilities, offices and apartments.
