Karl Hudson, the NEW General Manager of Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong
Karl Hudson has been appointed as the new General Manager at Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong effective 1 June 2010.Prior to his appointment, he was the General Manager for the Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa, China.
Hudson has extensive hotel experience in the Asia Pacific region and he has worked in many locations before, including Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shenyang, Cebu and most recently Sanya. He first joined the Marriott Group at Renaissance Sydney Hotel in 1996 as Director of Food & Beverage. In 1999, he moved to China as the Director of Food & Beverage for the pre-opening of Shenyang Marriott, and then became Director of Rooms in 2000. Hudson received his first appointment as General Manager with the Cebu City Marriott Hotel, Philippines in 2003 and he moved to Sanya in 2007.
Hudson is an experienced hotelier with over 24 years in the worldwide hospitality industry. Hudson was recently the Chairman of the Sanya Hotel Association and during the 2008 Beijing Olympics; he was an official torchbearer for the first leg in Sanya. He is very excited about this next phase of his career and enjoying the dynamics of this iconic city.
