K11 Joins Forces with Global Entertainment Technology Enterprise Falcon's Beyond to Launch Vquarium™ , Hong Kong’s First Virtual Ocean Adventure Experience in 11 SKIES

K11 Group and Falcon’s Beyond (Falcon’s), a diversified global entertainment, consumer experience, and technology enterprise announced the establishment of a joint venture to combine their strengths in cultural retail and technological innovation. Together, K11 and Falcon’s will introduce Vquarium™ , the first-ever virtual deep-ocean adventure experience in Hong Kong. Vquarium™ will open in 2025 in 11 SKIES, which is the largest one-stop retailtainment landmark in Hong Kong. It will be one of the eight world-class and first-in-Hong Kong entertainment attractions in 11 SKIES, providing visitors with an immersive deep-ocean adventure experience and suitable for different ages of visitors.
Falcon’s, headquartered in Orlando, US, accelerates intellectual property (IP) activations concurrently across physical and digital experiences in various sectors. It has collaborated with renowned brands including Marvel Studio and Lotte World in South Korea. Falcon’s projects span across the globe, including locations in Washington, Dubai, Singapore, etc.
Utilising MR (Mixed Reality) Technology, the Simulation of Submersible is Designed to Provide Edutainment
The first collaborative project between K11 and Falcon’s, Vquarium™ will be Hong Kong's first virtual deep-ocean adventure experience. It is divided into three levels with a series of themed areas, reaching a vertical space of up to 13 metres to create a sense of deep-ocean environment. Utilising dynamic simulators with special effects and Mixed Reality (MR) technology, it enhances interactive and immersive experiences. Visitors will feel as if they are playing explorer on board a deep-ocean exploration submersible to explore the fantastical underwater world, and delve into the depths of the ocean that are otherwise inaccessible to humans. They can also discover rare marine species and unique ocean landscapes during the journey. In addition to immersing themselves in countless Instagram-able moments, visitors can also learn about marine life and the importance of conservation, perfect for the curious children. Vquarium™ will also feature creative dining and retail elements to complete the visitors’ experience.
Vquarium™ is located in 11 SKIES, an integral part of the SKYCITY, opening in phases from 2022 to 2025. It is the largest one-stop retailtainment and business landmark in Hong Kong, with a total floor area of over 3.8 million square feet. Its three Grade A office towers, K11 ATELIER 11 SKIES, have been in operation since last year. The next phase of 11 SKIES will see the gradual opening of its retailtainment section, which will feature over 800 shops, 120 dining concepts, and eight world class and first-in-Hong Kong entertainment attractions. With its strategic location near the airport and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, it will also become the gateway and a bridgehead to a population of 86 million within the “1.5-hour living circle” in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
