Fake Facebook Pages of New World Group
New World Development Company Limited (the "Group" or "New World Group"; Hong Kong stock code: 17) recently found that some individuals have set up Facebook pages for the subsidiaries of the Group and using corporate information without authority.
The concerned subsidiaries include NWS Holdings Limited ("NWS"), New World China Land Limited ("NWCL"), New World Department Store China Limited ("NWDS"), New World First Bus Services Limited ("NWFB"), Citybus Limited ("Citybus"), Hip Hing Construction Company Limited ("Hip Hing") and New World First Ferry Services Limited ("NWFF").
The Group hereby declares that such Facebook pages are not officially set up by the Group. The official Facebook page of New World Group should be www.facebook.com/newworldgroup; the only Facebook pages that NWS maintains are NWS Hong Kong Geo Wonders Hike fans page www.facebook.com/geo.nws.hk and NWFB Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus fans page www.facebook.com/rickshawbus; and the official Facebook page of NWDS should be www.facebook.com/home.php#!/nwds.hk. NWCL, Hip Hing and NWFF have not set up any Facebook pages.
The Group also urges the public not to provide personal information to the unauthorized page.
