Excellence in Communication and Promotion Earns New World Group 12 International Accolades

Commitment in communicating with stakeholders and excellence in organising and promoting major sponsorship events have earned New World Group 12 accolades in the 27th International Mercury Awards (see chart below).  All entries under International Mercury Awards undergo three rounds of selection by a professional judging panel, comprising top public relations, marketing and advertising professionals from around the globe, before any award is conferred.

New World Development Company Limited (“New World Development” or “the Group”) scooped six out of the 12 awards, a testament to the company’s efforts and excellence in communication and promotion. Among the winning entries is its staff magazine New World‧New Words which has won the silver award in the Employee Publication — Tabloid category for its interesting design and informative content. New World Harbour Race 2013, one of the Group’s major sponsorship events, garnered the bronze award in the Special Events category and the honours award in the Design — Posters category, while its 40th anniversary book Honour the Past…Herald the Future, 40 Years of New World won the honours award in the Brochures — Company Brochures category. The Group’s Annual Report 2013 also won the silver and bronze award in the Annual Reports — Overall Presentation: Multi-Industry category and Overall Presentation: Property Development category respectively.

New World China Land Limited (“NWCL”)’s Annual Report 2013 netted the gold award in the Annual Reports — Overall Presentation: Property Development category and the honours award in the Annual Reports — Overall Presentation: Real Estate Developer category. Themed “Discover Happiness”, the design features traditional Chinese elements and ink painting with a contemporary twist, with the front cover adopting the concept of a traditional Chinese door. This fusion demonstrates how NWCL merges the best of Chinese traditions, cultures and heritages with innovative ideas to rejuvenate old cities into vibrant communities.
