Celebration + Charity + Care for the Environment

Over the years, the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong has committed itself by providing leadership for a variety of important civic endeavours, while encouraging its associates to be active in contributing betterment of the community. Whilst the hotel is celebrating its 20th anniversary this July, aside from offering special room and food promotions for guests' enjoyment, it has not forgotten to include its long-term charity partner - Hong Chi Association to join the celebration. 200 students with intellectual disabilities, together with their family members and caretakers from Hong Chi Association were invited for a dinner buffet on the evening of 27 July at the Concord Room to share the happiness.

Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong places great importance in protecting and improving the environment so as to sustain resources for the next generation. Hence, the theme of the event that night was environmentally-related, taking the opportunity to promote the value of recycling. Costumes of the Master of Ceremonies as well as the backdrop of the event were made out of used goods of the hotels' daily operation. Environmental-themed games were hosted by senior executives, allowing great interaction between the hotel management and the student. Applause was given to the 45 associates from the hotel who spent their leisure time and volunteered as helpers to serve the guests, ensuring a smooth operation and marking a memorable evening for all.

Hong Chi Association, a long-term charity partner with the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong, is one of the largest non-profit organizations in Hong Kong that dedicated to quality service in educating, training and empowering people with intellectual disabilities and their families. The hotel has been working constantly with the association by providing job opportunities for students, removing weeds and painting fences at the headquarter of Hong Chi Association which is located at Pinehill Village in Tai Po, and holding festive parties for the students.
