"Toast Art Picasso" – the First & the Only Toast Artist in the World
Inviting HK People to Guinness World Record Attempt Creating the World’s Largest Toast Art Mosaic with 6,000 Slices of Toast
In this summer, K11 Art Mall in Hong Kong is launching "Food Art Festival - Sweet Splashes" campaign, which incorporates food with artistic visual elements, and inviting "Toast Art Picasso" Mr. Maurice Bennett from New Zealand to break Guinness World Record with Hong Kong people from 28 July to 5 August. Being the first and the only toast artist in the World, Maurice uses slices of toast as canvas and flames as his paintbrush to create unique works of art. During his stay in Hong Kong from end July to early August, Maurice and local participants will create the World's largest toast art mosaic with 6,000 slices of toast for Guinness World Record Attempt.
Maurice owns a bakery in his Supermarket in New Zealand that produces fresh bread every day. He finds that dumping the unsold bread is a sever wastage and the idea of using the unsold bread as an art medium popped into his head. So, he got out the toaster, started making slices of toast in different tones, laying them out on the carpet and started making toast masterpieces. Up till now, he has made over 1,000 pieces of toast art. Some of them are inspired from Cubism of Picasso. The most renowned masterpieces include toast portrait of Mark Blumsky - the former mayor of New Zealand's most important city Wellington (Guinness Record - The Largest Toast Moasic in 1999), toast art named "Poupou" inspired by Maori culture, toast portrait of Elvis Presley for commemorate the 25th anniversary of Elvis's death.

In order to support Hong Kong's art development, "Toast Art Picasso" Maurice Bennett is inviting local art students to create the world's largest toast art mosaic in 5m x 5m and break the Guinness World Record at K11 Art Mall.
The first largest collective toast art project in the World will be held at K11 Art Mall from 28 July to 5 August. Interested parties are welcome to register via email detailing your previous art projects, name and contact numbers to marketing@k11concepts.com on or before 20 July. Those selected are allowed to take part in this toast art project at K11 Art Mall. All people are also welcome to witness and express your support to this Guinness World Record Attempt by Maurice and local artists at K11 Art Mall.
