Posthumous Bestowal of the Distinction of “Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur” on Mr Chan Kam Ling, BBS
Mr Chan Kam Ling, the late Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of NWS Holdings Limited ("NWS Holdings" or the "Group"; Hong Kong stock code: 659) was presented with the Distinction of "Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur" by Mr Marc Fonbaustier, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau on 7 January 2010, for Mr Chan's unfailing efforts and significant contributions to promoting Sino-French business cooperation and enhancing business collaboration between NWS Holdings and Suez Environnement. The honour was received by Mrs Betty Chan Kam Ling.
Established by Napoléon Bonaparte in 1802, the Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur is the highest award bestowed by the French Republic on those who have made outstanding contributions to France.
