New World Hotel Dalian Celebrates its Official Grand Opening

Today, New World Hotel Dalian officially announces its Grand Opening. As the flagship five-star hotel in Dalian, New World Hotel Dalian's official launch will redefine luxury with engaging and thoughtful services to provide customers with a "living" experience. Located in the heart of the city, New World Hotel Dalian is positioned to be a lifestyle centre for business, leisure and entertainment. 

Over 200 special guests witnessed the grand opening ceremony. Renowned guests included Vice Mayor of Dalian City, Mr Zhang Jun, who delivered his congratulation at the ceremony. Dr Cheng Kar-Shun, Henry, Managing Director of Hong Kong New World Development Company Limited (NWD), Ms Cheng Chi Man, Sonia, Executive Vice President of New World Hotel Management Limited (NWHML), Mr Robert Gerber, General Manager of New World Hotel Dalian presented at the event together with all staff of New World Hotel Dalian and its business partners. The Red Poppy Ladies Percussions, a drum group who performed at the closing ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympics started the ceremony. This recital was followed by a ribbon cutting and champagne toast, which symbolized a promising future for the rapid growth of New World Hotel Dalian. 

As Dr Cheng Kar-Shun, Henry, Managing Director of NWD addressed at his speech, "New World Hotel Dalian is a place for our guests to indulge all aspects of an elite lifestyle, by offering them modern facilities; high-quality amenities, a world of dining options and personal service. As our guests visit this coastal city, and enjoy its charm, we will make sure each guest will have a comfortable experience in lush accommodations. We are committed to Dalian's rapid development in tourism which will enhance its urban image, and we hope to make a positive contribution to this process." 

Initiated by New World Hotel Dalian; Dalian Tourism Administration Bureau; Dalian Photographers Association; and Dalian Children's Palace, winners of the, "Beautiful Dalian: New World Photography and Painting Competition" are invited to participate in the opening ceremony. As Mr Robert Gerber said, "As part of Dalian community, we would like to contribute to this beautiful city through organizing the 'Beautiful Dalian: New World Photography and Painting Competition'." 

The hotel has delivered on all fronts since the soft opening in March 2009. Its elegant environment and catering services, ballroom and meeting rooms, personalized wedding services, have been warmly received by visiting guests and the local community. Recently, the Hotel opened a fitness center with one of the city's largest indoor swimming pools-an oval-shaped oasis equipped with transparent dome lighting, athletic facilities, and professional coaches. Guests can enrich their experience with fresh light meals: seafood, salads, fresh fruit juices and other beverages; all available poolside. 

New World Hotel Dalian is now in full operation. Its objective is to bring a new standard of luxury to Dalian, by developing a sophisticated, multi-faceted venue that is pleasing to both overseas and local guests.

New World Hotel Dalian is the sixth New World brand hotel operated and managed by NWHML in China. Other New World hotels currently managed by NWHML are located in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Wuhan, Xian, Macau and Ho Chi Minh City.
