New World Group Sends Appreciation to Staff on International Women's Day

As a caring employer, New World Development Company Limited (the “Group”; Stock Code: 17.HK) and its subsidiaries send their love and appreciation to staff by giving out red date tea bags in support of International Women’s Day.

Echoing its caring and people-oriented corporate culture, the Group promotes work-life balance through active communication with staff and organising a range of employee relations activities. On the special occasion of International Women’s Day, the Group’s management expresses its gratitude to its female staff members for their efforts in taking care of their families while demonstrating professionalism at work. Gary Chen, Executive Director and Joint General Manager of the Group, joined an informal session during which female colleagues shared with each other little stories about their work and lives. During the session, Mr Chen also distributed red date tea bags as tokens of appreciation for their contribution. The Group also takes the opportunity to extend the promotion of family harmony to its male colleagues.

Subsidiaries participating in this programme include New World China Land Limited, NWS Holdings Limited, Citybus Limited and New World First Bus Services Limited. The Group has supported the “ChariTea” programme organised by the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association for three years in a row. Under the programme, red date tea bags are distributed on International Women's Day to the public, encouraging love among communities, corporations and women themselves.
