New World Development Company Limited (“the Group”) was the biggest winner at the HR Innovation Awards 2016, hosted by Human Resources magazine. Accolades include “HR Grand Winner” and eleven other awards. These reflect the industry’s recognition of the Group’s outstanding human resources management, talent development and innovation in providing bespoke staff-centred initiatives.
A total of twelve awards were conferred on New World Group in recognition of the Group’s commitment to cultivating staff talent across a wide range of award criteria. The efforts of our dedicated staff have resulted in the Group winning top awards, including:

To garner so many of these awards, the Group has introduced a series of innovative human resource management and talent development initiatives to implement its caring culture, innovative ideas and boundless commitment to the development of its employees. One outstanding example is the flexible healthcare benefits scheme, which allows employees to convert their benefits into “care points” that can be used for medical check-ups or medical fee subsidies. Future Star scheme provides bespoke and inspirational enhancement of talent to anticipate and prepare for the Group’s development needs. There are also the unique and innovative screening protocols, “The Artisans’ Blast” and “The Exceptional Challenge 2016”, which have been introduced into the Group’s Management Trainee and Internship Programme. Breaking from traditional approaches, the Group aims to recruit more Artisans who can appreciate, enhance and benefit from its brand values.
In terms of talent development, the Group has revamped the YoungSTAR programme, creating a unique 540-degree all-round talent-assessment system. The information generated has a significant impact on business development and action plans for YoungSTAR. It also provides an important database to support training and development programmes for the next two years.
Another signature initiative is Incubation Circle, an employee-driven platform to encourage and empower staff to innovate and to develop team spirit as “intrapreneurs”. In the third year of launching Incubation Circle, the Group has received over 120 innovative solutions to optimize quality and service processes, and to fully demonstrate the Group’s willingness to listen and work cooperatively to promote bespoke solutions through creative innovation.

Organised by Human Resources magazine, the HR Innovation Awards is a highly regarded event in the industry. It recognises outstanding performance in human resources and talent management, and award winners which set the benchmark for the HR industry are selected by a panel of HR professionals on the basis of vision, implementation, impact and effort.
