New World Group Basketball League 2012 Manifests the Spirit of UNITI
New World Group Basketball League 2012 Finals, organised by New World Development Company Limited ("New World Group", "The Group"; Stock Code: 17.HK), was held on 10 November 2012 at Southorn Indoor Stadium in Wan Chai. Also joining the finale were Gary Chen, Executive Director and Joint General Manager of New World Group, as well as other senior executives.
To foster communication and build a culture of unity, the Group organises various staff recreational and team-building activities on a regular basis. A total of 19 teams representing different Group companies have been competing in the league since early June 2012. After five months of competition, New World China Land Limited and NWS Holdings Limited (CTB-NWFB team) claimed the male's trophy and the first runner-up respectively, while New World Telecommunications Limited and New World Property Management Company Limited took respectively the female's championship and first runner-up.
In addition to enhancing the quality of its property projects and service levels, the Group also launched a new set of core values "UNITI" last year. Representing You (U), New World (N), Innovation (I), Trust (T) and Improvement (I), these core values have become the driving force behind the Group's success while symbolising the spirit of unity.
Towards the end of the event, an exciting friendly match was also played by the two management teams, UNITI Innovation and UNITI Trust, formed by senior executives. Spectating staff members cheered the teams while players were doing their best in quest of achieving the highest scores.
