New World China Land Proudly Held its Third National Staff Sports Meet

New World China Land Limited (“NWCL”; Stock Code: 917.HK) proudly held its third National Staff Sports Meet in Wuhan from 31 October to 2 November. Mr Chen Guanzhan, Executive Director and Joint General Manager of New World Development Company Limited, Ms Ngan Man-ying, Lynda, Executive Director of NWCL, the management came from 20 cities across China, as well as 500 employees attended this magnificent event. 

The 3-day sports meet of NWCL covered six categories totaling 55 sports games, including conventional sports such as swimming, athletics, badminton, table tennis and football, as well as fun games such as tug of war, 10-person 11-feet race and 30m fun relay. The athletes from different NWCL regional offices in China demonstrated good sportsmanship and efforts, presenting a wonderful sports event. 

“UNITI” is the core feature of the sports meet and it covers three themes, namely “technology changes life”, “low-carbon and sustainable development”, as well as “work and live in joy”. During the game, all staff’s drinking water bottles were recycled through creative ways; a “time capsule” was put together to capture the commitments and aspirations of participants and NWCL; the dinner was held in a “sports party” format, providing a casual and open platform for participants to mingle; an “NWCL online sports meet” was initiated, attracting the participation of about 5,000 employees to experience the momentous moments. 

NWCL has been advocating the positive and healthy living philosophy, and creating happy work and living environment for employees. In the wake of successful national staff sports meets held  in Guangzhou, Beijing, and Wuhan, the event will continue to be held in the cities of which NWCL operates in biennially. This aims at demonstrating employees’ vigorous and dynamic spirits, encouraging employees of different regions to communicate and cooperate, and showcasing the corporate culture of “Building a New World with Innovation and Improvement”.
