Guangzhou Foshan New World Metropolitan Complex held grand foundation stone laying ceremony
New World China Land Limited ("New World China Land"; HK stock code: 917) held grand foundation stone laying ceremony for Guangzhou Foshan New World Metropolitan Complex, its urban complex project in Foshan, which was attended by Dr. Henry Cheng, member of the Standing Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Managing Director of New World China Land, Mr. Deng Weigen, vice mayor of Foshan City, and several leaders of Nanhai District Government, etc.
In the address, Dr. Henry Cheng extended his appreciation to long-term support of Foshan Municipal Government, Nanhai District, and Dali Town. He also noted that Guangzhou Foshan New World Metropolitan Complex is the largest project and also the flagship project of New World in the Guangzhou-Foshan Region. New World is in unswerving favor of great opportunities brought by the construction of Guangzhou-Foshan Metropolis Circle to Foshan and Nanhai, and is confident to build Guangzhou Foshan New World Metropolitan Complex into an international modern health life and new economic development demonstration zone with the most environmentally and ecologically friendly sustainable development in the Guangzhou-Foshan core area. Mr. Deng Weigen, vice mayor of Foshan City was affirmative with the contribution by New World China Land to Foshan's urban construction in his address, and expected the kick-off of the project can usher in an all-round promotion of tourism, sports, and modern service industry of Foshan City and Nanhai District, and become the most significant landmark in the Guangzhou-Foshan Metropolis Circle.
Covering an area of 4,500 mu and located at the intersection of Shishan and Dali groups within Dali Town, the GF New World Urban Complex project is only half-hour drive away from the Guangzhou-Foshan central area. As an ultra-large urban complex project, Guangzhou Foshan New World Metropolitan Complex will have an estimated development term of 5 to 8 years. In addition, New World China Land will invite the world famous designer for cooperation in project planning, water resources system planning, ecological feeding, landscape design, and gold course design, etc. with the latest international planning ideas and technologies, so as to devotedly build a health life demonstration zone with the most environmentally and ecologically friendly sustainable development in the Guangzhou-Foshan core area.
The Guangzhou Foshan New World Metropolitan Complex is the first ultra-large comprehensive project kicked off after the construction of Guangzhou-Foshan Metropolis Circle, with the first phase to finish original club and sports facilities upgrade and reconstruction, and environmental remediation and support facilities construction.
