New World Group wins Family-Friendly Employers Awards

Caring for staff well-being and providing an ideal workplace

It strives to create an harmonious workplace for its staff members and enable them to achieve a work-life balance. The Group and its subsidiaries NWS Holdings Limited and New World Department Store China Limited recently won the Family-Friendly Employers awardsin the first Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme held by the Family Council, in recognition of the Group's long-standing commitment to promoting family-friendly practices in the workplace.

The Group places great emphasis on staff wellbeing. To ensure an optimum work-life balance, the Group has introduced five-day week and offered extra holidays to employees on special occasions, such as birthday leave, 3-day paid paternity leave for employees to take care of their wife and newborn baby. The Group also holds birthday parties every month to celebrate the special day of each employee.
