New World Group Announces Winners of "New Year‧New World - Hong Kong Countdown Celebrations Photo Competition" and Photo Exhibition
New World Development Company Limited ("New World Development", "the Group"; Stock Code: 17.HK) announces winners of "New Year‧New World - Hong Kong Countdown Celebrations Photo Competition" and launches a photo exhibition of the winning pieces. Title-sponsored by New World Development who also celebrates its 40th listing anniversary, the "New Year‧New World - Hong Kong Countdown Celebrations" in 2012 was showcased by a number of international media including CNN, BBC, NHK, TVBS and CCTV.
Gary Chen, Executive Director and Joint General Manager of New World Development, who also sits on the judging panel said: "The Group is committed to contributing to the growth of Hong Kong and has organised a number of local sports events and sustainable community programmes including the ‘New World Harbour Race' and ‘New World Springboard'. Other than bringing to audience a new experience of enjoying a pyrotechnics show at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, we organised a photo competition to extend the unique charm of the spectacle."
The photo competition received a great number of quality entries from keen photography lovers.Featuring the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre as the focal point, the photos underwent a selection process in which their adherence to the theme, techniques, creativity and colour were assessed. In addition to the top three prizes, five merits are awarded.
