New World China Land Supported “Earth Hour” Turn-off Activity Again
New World China Land Limited ("New World China Land"; HK stock code: 917), together with all its subordinated property projects nationwide, again offered full support to the "Earth Hour" turn-off activity organized by World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) by turning off lights from 8:30 p.m. for one hour with hundreds of millions of people worldwide, demonstrating the determination of New World China Land for carbon reduction and environmental protection.
On the evening of March 27, all property projects of New World China Land in 21 cities joined hands to participate in this activity. Apart from turning off lights for commercial property facilities and landscape lights including neon lights for an hour from 20:30 to 21:30, New World China Land also called upon employees and 70,000 owners in different areas to jointly participate in the event, encouraging them to support such turn-off event both at their locations and guest rooms, and gradually to practice low-carbon life in daily life. In which, participating properties include Beijing New World Center Phases I and II, Dalian New World Plaza, Shanghai Hong Kong New World Tower, and Wuhan New World Center and Wuhan New World International Trade Towers, etc. In addition, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, The Avenue of Stars and The Masterpiece managed by New World managed by New World Group also actively participated in this event.

The "Earth Hour" was firstly initiated by the WWF in Sydney of Australia in 2007, and this activity of concerning climate changes has developed rapidly to be a worldwide pageant in the past 2 years. In 2009, more than 4,000 cities in 88 countries around the world, including Hong Kong, Macau, and China Mainland cities, totaling about 1 billion people responded to related actions.
