New World Department Store China Limited ("NWDS"; Stock Code: 825.HK) is the retail arm of New World Development Company Limited in Mainland China and is also one of the largest owners and operators of department stores in Mainland China. Established in 1993, NWDS operates a large national network comprising 29 "New World" branded department stores, nine "Ba Li Chun Tian" branded department stores in Shanghai and one "Channel 1" branded shopping mall also in Shanghai. Among all, 36 stores are self-owned while three are managed stores. The department store retail chain covers 18 major cities across Mainland China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Wuhan, Chengdu and several more. NWDS was successfully listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong on 12 July 2007.
