NWS and NWDS FY2007 annual reports won awards in the 22nd International ARC Awards. NWS won the Bronze Award in "Cover Design: Infrastructure" while NWDS won the Bronze Award for "Interior Design: Retail" and the Honors Award for "Cover Photo/Design: Retail - Convenience & Dept. Store".

New World Strategic Investment Limited ("NWSI") completed the investment in Biomax Environment Holdings Limited ("Biomax"). NWSI's investment in Biomax amounted to approximately RMB200 million.
NWD, Hong Kong United Youth Association, China Association for Science and Technology, HK Chamber Of Commerce in China-Shanghai jointly organized a "New Youth New World" Beijing-Shanghai Summer Internship Tour, offering a six-week internship in Beijing and Shanghai for 168 university students. The tour is also co-organized by the China Young Leaders Foundation.

NWCL acquired the site, north of Lincheng Street in Qianshan District High-Tech Industrial Zone in Anshan, Liaoning, with the total premium amounts to RMB 399.8 million. The land, with an area of 228,000 sq m, would be developed into a middle to high-end residential area.
NWD FY2007 Annual Reports won the Gold Award in the category of "Annual Report - Overall Presentation:Corporations", while that of NWS won the Bronze Award in the same category. NWS has also won "Annual Report - Photography" Gold Award and NWCL won the Silver Award in the category of "Annual Report - Cover".
NWD, together with Dr Henry Cheng, Managing Director of NWD, on his behalf have donated more than RMB 50 million, and have donated 300 sets of wireless communication equipment which are worth RMB 15 million to the front-line rescuing team, supporting the disaster-relief effort in the affected areas. Meanwhile, NWCL initiated staff members in regional offices to participate in the donation activities, including donating bloods and raising funds, as well as sourcing other resources and drugs in need to the affected areas. Other subsidiaries in the Group have also been actively supporting the relief work through various ways, to encourage employees to support the earthquake relief work in Sichuan.

NWD and China Young Leaders Foundation joined hands with Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation to launch an exhibition project namely "People Power In A New World" Youth Arts Exhibition.
NWS acquired stake in Chongqing Water Group ("CWG"). Together with SUEZ Environment, the Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement and a share purchase agreement with CWG, becoming the strategic investment partner of the latter.

November
NWD signed an agreement with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts on 29 November 2007. Hyatt will manage a luxurious 384-room Hyatt Regency Hotel, which is part of the prestigious mixed-used complex in Hanoi Road, Kowloon.

A topping-out ceremony was held for The Chinese University of Hong Kong's teaching hotel which is developed by New World Development Company Limited on the campus of CUHK. The hotel is expected to be completed by the end of 2008.

New World China Land was awarded the "2007 Leading Overseas Corporate Brand investing in China Real Estate" in Beijing by "China Real Estate Top10 Research Team" in its latest brand value research report. Following its disposal of interests in Container Terminal No. 3 and No. 8 West, NWS Holdings streamlined its previous Service, Infrastructure and Ports businesses into two divisions: Infrastructure and Service & Rental. The Infrastructure division consists of Energy, Roads, Water and Ports segments while the Service & Rental division comprises Facilities Rental, Contracting and Transport etc.
NWD and Prax Capital jointly invested US$ 12 million into Zhejiang Tianneng Battery Co. Ltd., the largest producer of electric bicycles batteries in China.

NWCL entered into an agreement with Beijing Bank to purchase the remaining of the majority equity interest in a Dalian mixed use project. As a result, NWCL became the sole owner and developer of a mixed use project still in development, and the majority owner of Dalian New World Hotel. The project is located in the thriving centre of Renmin Road, Zhongshan district.
