New World Group has been determined to broaden young people's artistic vision, inspiring them the creative appreciation of contemporary art. From 2009 onwards, the Group fully supports the Asian Youth Orchestra ("AYO") for its performances in Hong Kong, providing young musicians the opportunities for music exchange and performance, as well as making friends who are music-holic. The Group's contribution to AYO helps strengthening the development of orchestra and enriching arts training among youth.

Meanwhile, the Group also supports the Eastern District Arts Council and Music for Our Young Foundation to organize the "Eastern District Youth Chinese Orchestra", arranging instrument classes for the primary and secondary students aged 16 or below living in the district. In 2011, the Group established "New World Award for MOY students" and presented medals to students with outstanding performance. Students who receive all nine medals before the age of 21 will be awarded scholarships of HK$10,000 from New World Group as incentives.

"People Power in A New World" Youth Arts Project
NWD is committed to nurturing the local young people in the society and actively supporting the all-round development of them. The Group has supported "People Power in A New World" Youth Arts Project for three consecutive years, providing opportunities for the youngsters to develop their creativity and bringing arts into our daily life. NWD co-organizes the project with China Young Leaders Foundation, Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation and "Road to Green" Social Enterprise which was set up by NWD and TMYA. This helps integrating the social enterprise elements into arts, encouraging the youngsters to face the public and practice creativity

In 2010, as the flagship programme of New World Green Week, "People Power in a New World Series 2010 - Eco-stume Making Project" continued the innovative spirit of blending environmental protection and art. About 500 youngsters from 16 primary, secondary schools, tertiary institutes and organizations joined the project, they designed trendy eco-stume, hanging art and soft sculpture, and part of the artworks were exhibited in K11 art mall. This helps promoting clothes recycling among the public.
