New World Development – The Big Winner at Asia’s Training and Development Excellence Awards And 30th International ARC Awards Competition
Led by a new generation of managerial excellence, New World Development Company Limited recently won a series of awards related to various aspects of its operations. The Artisanal Movement, the brainchild of Mr. Adrian Cheng, Executive Vice-chairman and Joint General Manager of New World Development, has inspired all company staff to create unique, quality products and services in the spirit of - “We Create, We Are Artisans”, which has earned the Group a host of prestigious honours. Under this new generational leadership expertise, New World Development is now reaping the fruits of its dedicated efforts.
On 4th August 2016, New World Development garnered 7 top prizes at the Asia’s Training and Development Excellence Awards 2016 held in Singapore. These included: “Best Change Management Initiative or Programme”, “Best Organisational Development (OD) Programme”, “Best Leadership Development Programme for Middle Management”, “Best Education Training Campaigns and Programmes”, “Best Customer Services Programme”, “Excellence in Content Development Award”, and the “Award for the Most Innovative Use of Training and Development as an HR initiative for OD”. All of these awards are a testament to the Group’s commitment and unstinting efforts towards staff education, training and development. Imbued with the Artisanal Movement DNA, the Group has always sought to go beyond conventional boundaries and develop new ideas to create truly comprehensive bespoke training programmes delivered by the Corporate and Talent Development Department.
The Asia Training and Development Excellence Awards are organised by the Human Resources Development Management Committee of the World HRD Congress. This is a regional awards event that publicly recognises achievements in training and development for individuals as well as companies from across a diverse range of business sectors throughout Asia.
In addition, New World Development’s FY2015 annual report took home a whopping 26 awards at the 30th International ARC Awards Competition, including a Grand Award - Best of Printing and Production, 10 Gold, 7 Silver, 7 Bronze and a Honors awards. Based on the theme - “We Are All Artisans”, the design concept of the Annual Report beautifully accentuates the true spirit of New World’s artisans. The overall design communicates to our stakeholders the spirit of The Artisanal Movement, a journey of exploring new horizons with boundless imagination while delivering bespoke craftsmanship and an exceptional experience presented with true originality.
Organised by MerComm Inc. from the United States, the ARC Awards are ‘’The Oscars of the annual report ‘industry’. This Awards event is globally recognised, and sets the highest standards across the annual report sector. This year's competition saw over 2,000 company entrants from over 70 countries.
